Inline centrifugal pumps - overview
Classification
Inline centrifugal pumps from STROBL Pumpen are single-stage, normal-priming centrifugal pumps which are installed directly in the pipeline.
Construction
STROBL's inline centrifugal pumps are designed in block construction with or without lantern for installation between the pipeline.
The impellers are multi-vane with two cover disks.
The pump head is sealed with single or double mechanical seals, depending on the design, and magnetic couplings are also possible.
The pumps are shock and vibration resistant as required and have a back-pull-out function.
Drilled connections are provided as standard to accommodate pressure and temperature transducers.
Special versions according to API 610-OH3 / OH4 / OH5 are also possible.
Functionality
Multistage centrifugal pumps from STROBL Pumpen draw in radially and convey the medium radially to the 180° offset discharge connection with a single-stage impeller.
The power transmission of the motor is via the pump shaft to the impeller.
The delivery pressure as well as the delivery rate are determined by the pump performance (pump characteristic curve), the impeller geometry, as well as the suction- and pressure-side pressure losses of the system. The delivery rate as well as the delivery pressure can also be varied by speed control or bypass solutions.

Applications
The main field of application for the inline centrifugal pumps of the INP series is the pumping of clean media.
Due to the available material variants, the pumping of various aggressive liquids from the chemical industry or petrochemistry is also possible.
Inline centrifugal pumps from STROBL Pumpen are used, for example, in the following areas:
- Circulation of liquids in open and closed circuits
- Pumping of liquids in plants
- chemical industry
- Petrochemical industry (oil & gas) - Onshore / Offshore
- Process plants / process technology
- Water treatment
- osmosis plants
Sealing technology
Sealing is done with suitable sealing materials (e.g. NBR, EPDM, PTFE or FKM), both on the static seals and on the mechanical seals. The sliding surfaces are made of carbon A or SiC (silicon carbide), depending on the design.
STROBL Pumpen is characterised in particular by its application-specific sealing technology; special solutions are also possible.
